Breading Station

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Mixture

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce optional

Final Coating

  • 1.5 cups cornmeal fine grind
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs thyme or oregano

  • Dry thoroughly.
  • Mix flour blend.
  • Mix buttermilk mix.
  • Mix coating blend.
  • Dredge in flour.
  • Dip in buttermilk.

  • Spray basket.
  • Place tomatoes.
