Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
  • cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Asian Glaze

  • cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

For Garnish

  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  • Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, scallions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently. Chill 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll mixture into 20–24 meatballs and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Cook for 15–18 minutes until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • In a saucepan, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
  • Mix cornstarch with water, stir into sauce, and cook until glossy.
  • Toss baked meatballs in glaze, garnish with scallions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.
