Ingredients

  • 3 Overripe bananas Mashed
  • ½ cup Unsweetened applesauce
  • cup Honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs Room temperature
  • cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup Chopped walnuts/pecans Optional
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl
  • Add applesauce, sweetener, and vanilla
  • Beat in eggs one at a time
  • Whisk dry ingredients in separate bowl
  • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet
  • Fold in nuts or chocolate if using
  • Pour batter into loaf pan Fill Pan
  • Bake 50–55 min, until toothpick is clean
  • Cool in pan 10 min, then on rack
