Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges

Cajun Seasoning Blend

  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne, black pepper, salt, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
  • Pat salmon fillets dry and brush with olive oil or butter.
  • Coat both sides of salmon with cajun seasoning, press gently, and rest 5 minutes.
  • Heat skillet over medium-high heat, sear salmon 4–5 minutes, flip, and cook 3–4 minutes until 145°F internal temp.
  • Rest 2 minutes, squeeze lemon juice, and serve hot.
