Ingredients

For the Brownies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz dark chocolate chopped or 1½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

For the Strawberry Topping

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Chocolate Coating

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter and chocolate together, stir until smooth.
  • Whisk in sugar and eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, and salt; fold into chocolate mix.
  • Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.
  • Macerate sliced strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
  • Simmer cream, add chocolate and butter, stir until smooth.
  • Top cooled brownies with strawberries, drizzle ganache over top.
  • Let set for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
