Ingredients

For the Bread

  • cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Or milk + vinegar substitute
  • 2 Eggs Room temperature
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Swirl

  • cup Brown sugar Packed
  • tablespoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter Melted

For the Sugar Coating

  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter Melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the swirl.
  • Pour half the batter into loaf pan, add half the swirl mix, repeat layers.
  • Use a knife to create a figure-eight pattern to swirl the cinnamon mixture.
  • Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Brush top with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
