Ingredients

For the Pretzel Dough

  • 1 ½ cups warm water 110°F
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter melted

For the Baking Soda Bath

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar; let foam 5 minutes.
  • Add salt, butter, and flour; knead until smooth.
  • Cover dough, let rise 30 minutes until doubled.
  • Roll into ropes, form pretzel twists or bites.
  • Drop pretzels in baking soda bath 30 seconds each side.
  • Place on lined sheets; bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes.
  • Brush hot pretzels with melted butter, roll in cinnamon sugar.
