Instructions
Combine soy sauce, garlic, and sugar. Marinate chicken 15 minutes.
Heat oil, brown chicken pieces on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Cook onions until soft, add garlic, then pour in marinade, tomato sauce, and broth.
Return chicken, add bay leaves, cover, simmer 25–30 minutes.
Add potatoes or bell pepper last 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning and serve with rice.
