Instructions
Peel and dice peaches.
Macerate peaches with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Let rest.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a batter.
Gently fold in the macerated peaches.
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F using a candy thermometer.
Drop batter by spoonfuls or with an ice cream scoop into hot oil.
Fry until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels or wire rack.
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth to make the glaze.
Drizzle glaze over warm fritters and serve.
