Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes scrubbed clean
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt plus more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced finely
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped finely
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • dipping sauce ranch, garlic aioli, or marinara

Instructions

  • Cut potatoes into even strips, soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  • Toss dried fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Bake at 425°F for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  • Melt butter, sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes, then stir in half the Parmesan.
  • Toss hot fries with garlic butter, remaining Parmesan, and parsley.
  • Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
