Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 3 lbs chicken pieces thighs, drumsticks, or breasts

For the Honey BBQ Sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Pat dry, season with spices, rub with olive oil.
  • Whisk honey, BBQ sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, mustard, garlic, paprika, cayenne. Reserve some for serving.
  • Grill or bake at 375°F, about 20 minutes.
  • Brush with sauce every 5 minutes until 165°F, 35-45 minutes total.
  • Coat with sauce in last 5 minutes, rest 5 minutes before serving.
