Ingredients

For the Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon (6 oz each) skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

For the Honey Sriracha Glaze

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoon sriracha sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoon water for slurry
  • 1 green onion sliced, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry, season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth to make a slurry.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear the salmon skin-side up for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes.
  • Pour the glaze over the salmon and cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the glaze thickens and becomes sticky.
  • Spoon glaze over the salmon fillets and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.
