Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 6–8 oz each
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

For the Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • cup fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry, pound to even thickness, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Lightly coat in flour.
  • Heat olive oil in skillet, cook chicken 6–7 minutes per side until golden and 165°F. Remove and tent with foil.
  • Melt butter in same pan, sauté garlic 30 seconds, add lemon juice and broth, simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Return chicken, spoon sauce over top, sprinkle parsley, zest, and thyme. Rest 2 minutes in sauce before serving.
