  • 1 Pastry brush For egg wash
  • 1 Sharp Knife or Wheel For clean pastry cuts
  • 1 Mixing bowl Medium size
  • 1 Spoon For filling and pressing center well

Ingredients

For the Pastry

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry Frozen, thawed
  • 1 Egg Large, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Milk For egg wash

For the Mascarpone Filling:

  • 8 oz Mascarpone cheese Room temperature
  • cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest Freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy cream

Optional Toppings:

  • 1 cup Fresh berries Strawberries, raspberries, etc.
  • 2 tablespoon Honey For drizzling
  • 2 tablespoon Sliced almonds Or chopped pistachios
  • Powdered sugar For dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven and cut puff pastry
  • Prick centers and apply egg wash
  • Bake until golden brown
  • Cool and press center wells
  • Beat mascarpone filling until smooth
  • Fill pastries and top with berries
  • Drizzle with honey and dust with sugar
