Ingredients

the meatloaf:

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 fat ratio preferred
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs Dried
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

the glaze:

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Mix milk and breadcrumbs; let stand 5 minutes
  • Combine all meatloaf ingredients, mix gently
  • Shape into loaf in 8x4-inch pan
  • Mix glaze ingredients
  • Spread half the glaze on meatloaf
  • Bake 35-45 minutes to 160°F internal temp
  • Add remaining glaze in last 10 minutes
  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing
