  • 2 Eggs Lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup Milk Whole or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese Freeze 15 minutes to prevent leaking

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic
  • Combine meat, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, sautéed veggies, and seasoning
  • Shape half the meat mixture into a loaf base
  • Layer provolone in center, then top with remaining meat
  • Seal edges and smooth the top
  • Bake for 45 minutes
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing
