Instructions

  • Activate yeast in warm water with sugar until foamy.
  • Mix in melted butter and salt, then add flour gradually.
  • Knead until smooth and elastic; rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll dough into ropes and cut into 1-inch pieces.
  • Boil pieces in baking soda bath for 20–30 seconds.
  • Brush with butter, sprinkle salt, and bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes.
  • Brush again with melted butter right after baking.
