Ingredients

Main Components

  • 1 lb sirloin steak bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb fresh cheese tortellini
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Optional Additions

  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 0.5 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  • Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Boil tortellini in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same pan, add butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, then stir in cream and parmesan. Simmer until smooth.
  • Return steak and tortellini to the pan. Toss to coat. Add pasta water to loosen sauce as needed.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, extra parmesan, and optional add-ins. Serve hot.
