Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

For the Sweet Chili Glaze

  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

For Garnish

  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 6–7 minutes per side until internal temp reaches 165°F. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add sweet chili sauce, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  • Whisk together cornstarch and water, then stir into glaze. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and spoon glaze over each piece. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Top with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro. Serve hot.
