Equipment

  • 1 8x8 inch pan lined with parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing bowl one large, one medium
  • 1 Whisk or hand mixer for mascarpone
  • 1 Spatula for folding and spreading
  • 1 Sifter optional, for dusting cocoa

Ingredients

Brownie Layer:

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Espresso powder adds tiramisu flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Mascarpone Topping:

  • 8 oz Mascarpone cheese room temperature
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Espresso or coffee cooled
  • ½ cup Heavy cream whipped

Finishing:

  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Whisk melted butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, espresso powder, and salt.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients to make a smooth batter.
  • Spread batter in pan and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  • Let brownies cool completely before topping.
  • Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and espresso; fold in whipped cream.
  • Gently spread mascarpone topping over brownies.
  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight for best results).
  • Dust with cocoa powder just before serving.
